The True Relation Between Spiritualism And The Subconscious

It’s not unusual to say that for many years Spiritualism has been related and mistaken with religion. Even when we talk about enlightenment or awakening we have the tendency to connect it to some sort of fanatic method or practice.

But if we take one step back just a bit and try to stay away from all these labels, we will realize that there is a deeper meaning within all these mystic terms and that there’s one plane of perception where all of them mean exactly the same thing. This plane of perception goes beyond the mind and the subconscious, some people call it awareness or consciousness just to give it a name, but the reality is that none of these words can reach or touch the essence of what this truly means.
Language will always get in the way of things, because the word is never the thing we’re referring to.
When we name something we divide it in two things, what it is and what we name it. Dualism begins along with the separation of you and the rest of the world. So the word is never the thing, they are just pointers to help us guide our minds. But we need to use them as they are for now, just for practical purposes. So when we talk about spiritualism, it seems to refer as a state of awareness. It could mean a sublime relation with life beyond and above thinking where fear is no longer present. Living in spirit might be our destiny at some point in our human history, which now seems to be an unreachable dream.
There’re a few beings that appear to live in this plane of reality, living in a way that they seemed always connected with the essence life. His or her actions might not be heroic all the time but will always be in harmony with the contrast of life. He or she will function as a simple tool that allows the creative impulse of life express itself in this world of forms. Their actions will be magical and wise because they don’t belong to them, their ego has disappeared.
Since they’ve gone beyond concepts, right and wrong are no longer ruling their existence. So no more fear will be experienced. Dualism is no longer present.
Is this too difficult to get? Is it too weird or undesirable for us? Is it too unreachable for us?
It is to the human mind. Because living like this means the death of our minds, because our minds are idealistic, egoistic and divisive. This is the end of our mental rushes and stimulation and that is really scary for us.This doesn’t mean that we no longer be able to think. In the contrary, it is said that these being are able to think more efficiently without the anxiety and fear of an impulsive and fearful thinking mind.
The mind is always viewing things as “me” and the world, “me” and the others out there. In the mind it’s always about “me”, my little story, and the endless question: what about me?The mind will never understand how we can live without it. If we’re not using the mind to see and relate to the world, what other vehicle can we use?
Realize that you don’t necessarily need to destroy the mind; we can simply press the pause button to for a couple of seconds so we can see and know the answer. Our job is to connect to that space or gap between thoughts. If one is able to reach this state it is said that the result will most likely be out of our comprehension, but it is also said that we would finally be able to see how thing are in reality instead of how we think they are.
Remember this beautiful phrase:
When the ear is unobstructed the result is hearing,
When the eye is unobstructed the result is seeing,
When the heart is unobstructed the result is peace,
When the mind is unobstructed the result is love.
